Ernst-Rudolf Beathalter was born in 1949 in Calw. After graduating from the Hermann-Hesse-Gymnasium in Calw, he studied law at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen and at the Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg im Breisgau. He passed the first state law examination in 1974 in Freiburg. His legal clerkship at the District Court of Offenburg, the District Court of Bühl, the City of Bühl and the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Baden-Baden followed immediately after his studies. Ernst-Rudolf Beathalter worked in various law firms during his legal clerkship. He passed the second state law examination in 1977 in Stuttgart. After working for a sole practitioner in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt and a law firm in Kaiserslautern, Ernst-Rudolf Beathalter joined RBB & Partner on 2 October 1978. He is married and has two children.
